As Bridge Builders, we bring resources to need and hope to hopelessness. Arlington is one of the most diverse communities in the country, with more than 100 languages spoken. It is also a community where there are rich opportunities to share the Gospel with those who have never heard it before.
To help spread the Gospel, we support small and ethnically diverse pastors reach communities other churches would find difficult to reach.
We spend time equipping and training pastors to spread the gospel through direct financial assistance, including rent for churhces, stand-alone seminars, academic type programs with classes, and Individual mentoring.
We meet once a month to pray for Arlington and to discuss and meet needs.
Food Pantry
The food pantry is a monthly outreach program that helps the needy in South Arlington by providing food items, sharing the Gospel and praying for desperate people.
We buy 6,000 pounds of food per month at the cost of $0.19 a pound
Serve 350 clients per month with average income of about $12,000 a year
Serve six churches meet their member needs.
We engage in relational evangalism at every distribution, delivering a message and praying for clients.
We ALWAYS need volunteers to help with the Food Pantry, from buying groceries at the National Capitol Area Food Bank to cooking meals to bagging food to praying with people.
Please let us know if you want to help.
TRAINING FOR OUTREACH
We conduct seminars and teach classes to better equip the community to reach the lost. We are currently in a year long series of Evangalism Seminars. Our first seminar was on Street Evangalism. Next up is relational evangalism in February with practical outreach strategies in May.
ESL Classes
Arlington Bridge Builders works with many non-English speaking people in the community. We periodically offer ESL classes to teach non-English speakers to speak, read and write.
